The roots of Outmersive were established in 2016 after founder Chris Smead completed the John Muir Trail. The beauty of the sierra inspired him to share the outdoor experience with the rest of the world.  Today, the Outmersive collective has grown into a group of like minded individuals, that focus on raising the bar of each film both in terms of story and production quality.  Despite this rapid growth, the goal remains the same. To convey the beauty, historical depth, and profound physical and mental benefits of our planets wild places.
